    DIOPTRA

The Horizon Europe project DIOPTRA plans to introduce an innovative solution for early screening and risk assessment of colorectal cancer for everyone. Risk factors and protein biomarkers should be used to identify high-risk cases that require preventive screening (colonoscopy). This non-invasive approach has the potential to significantly improve colorectal cancer screening in medical practice and expand the participation in population screenings. As part of this project, Biobank Graz in cooperation with the Division of Oncology, Division of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery and Barmherzige Brüder Krankenhaus Graz provides expertise, samples and data from pseudonymised CRC cases.
